Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, April 29, 2009

Hi there, this is Lucha Libre Garcia back in town.  Today we went to Playa Maderas early in the morning to ride some waves.  Unfortunately it was not exactly what we were expecting to find but we still made it out to get wet.  It was very inconsistent, running about knee to waist high on sets and the wind was light offshore.  Check it out.

The water was a little bit chilly today and it should stay like that until the rain comes but that can happens very soon.  The day was overcast and actually it was raining for a few minutes, making it tough for photos.  This is “El Tuzo” Morales riding one of the better rights of the day.

His girlfriend, Sarah “Tesarandearan” La Tuzita was able to paddle out on her last day in town.  Check her out enjoying this ride on a fun little nugget.

Do you guys image to be walking on the beach for more than 20 minutes brushing your teeth?  These 2 guys from California set up a new record today at Playa Maderas.  It looks like they were enjoying it.

The lineup was not busy at all this morning.  There were only 2 locals out and 3 other international surfers taking advantage of the empty lineup.  This guy decided to give it a try and took his board to learn how to surf out because he didn’t have anybody on his way.

On the last shot of the day we have “El Chulin” Estrella with a small but nice little turn on this left.  The waves should be about the same size for tomorrow so it might be a good day to take the big boards out and learn how to surf with the NSR Surf School.

This afternoon the NSR Surf School took a couple of nice students to the beach.  They decided to take their best surf class with the best Surf School down here in Nicaragua.  In this group shot we have from left to right: Peter, our surf instructor D-lite and Laura.  Here they are smiling after a great surf session.

Today was a perfect day to learn how to surf because the conditions were really good.  This is Peter represent the group taking off on one of his many good waves that he caught today.  We are so glad you guys had a good time on the beach.

We are glad to announce that D-lite is back in action.  Here is his first wave in a little over five weeks due to his broken rib.  It is good to see that you are healing up fine and we are looking forward to seeing you back to normal and ripping it up.  Alright folks, that is all for today.  Please tuned with us tomorrow.
