Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, March 27, 2020

Brian Scott

Happy Friday everyone! Today we had some nice swell in the water, but the side shore winds weren’t cooperating all that great. But for those who made it down for a surf today found plenty to be thankful for that’s for sure!

Brian Scott

Yuji on fire today, even though the water is still really chilly!

Brian Scott

Kevin is ALWAYS on fire. Not matter the time, day or water temps. He’s actually surfed as far north at the western part of Canada and wearing a 5mm suit didn’t slow down his surfing one bit!

Brian Scott

I’ve seen many people sporting anything from rashies, to spring suits to full suits, like Nando here.

Brian Scott

To each is own and their tolerance to the cooler water. I personally always wear a suit when I’m shooting in the water.

Brian Scott

Whoa!!! Nice big cutback John! Is the a new tabla?

Brian Scott

Both Koji and Yuji can usually be seen surfing together almost any time they’re out. What I notice more is their manurvers getting more and more defined and filled in with more power, speed and style.

Brian Scott

The only chica out today and paddling hard to catch a lot of the bigger sets this afternoon…. Good Job Danai!

Wanted to throw a quick little local community reminder that although most of the businesses here are closing down temporarily for safely precautions, you can still order food from many of them, like our Friends and neighbors “Don Eloys”. Check out their delicious order and pick up to go menu. Nothing beats being able to still have access to their quality food at your finger tips, especially while we’re all confined to our homes! P.s. Remember, every time you order from a closed business right now it also helps them tremendously right now during these hard times.

Esteban working up an appetite fo something really yummy for dinner time!!!

I saw Emil running down to the surf just a few minutes before I was about to pack it up.

Brian Scott

Here’s just a few frames from one of his many waves he caught in just a short time after paddling out.

Brian Scott

Nica-Land is still dreamy and the waves are still coming in. I’m just glad I can see people surfing them right now, as opposed to seeing them go by unridden every single day.

Brian Scott

I mean it would definitely be really hard to not see this every day. Kevin blowing off some boredom and steam at his most favorite place on the planet.

Brian Scott

Alrighty friends. That’s the kickoff to our weekend. Hope you’re all doing as best as you can considering. Please be safe! See you all again tomorrow.
