Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, March 01, 2011

Welcome to our first report of March.  The waves were super fun today, running about chest to head high on sets with nice offshore winds and the water was a bit chilly.  Check out the lineup!!!

When I first got to the beach I saw La Baloy Chamorro ripping at Machete pt.  He was surfing by himself for a little bit more than an hour, so I was able to snap a couple of cool shots of him.

There were a couple of small but fun waves rolling in right out front.  This Giles “Pachamamas” trying to get a little bit of shade on this right.

There was action all over the beach, and all the locals were shredding all over the place.  La Bestia Calderon with a cool frontside maneuver from a sweet angle.

Larry Carita de Venado Davila attacking the closed out section of this left hander.  It was so cool to see all the people out in the water, taking plenty of fun waves.

Felipe “EL Pipe” Chompipe working on his backside, right in front of the rocks at Machete Pt.  This kid has improved his surfing very fast and now he’s one of the contenders in the junior division with La Bestia Calderon out.

A couple of cute chicks made it out to the beach to get a little bit of sun.  Never forget to use your sunblock, anytime you go to the beach.

La Gaviota Chamorro was busting airs all over, and he is pulling them off more often now.  I do not know how the hell he does that thing!

The nature is one of the many beautiful things you have to see down here.  We call this one Morenita, and maybe you can figure it out seeing its colors.

The best and the last shot of the day belong to “La Baloy” Chamorro, showing his fins and his sponsor stickers to the camera.  Please check back tomorrow.
