Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, February 28, 2018

Hey there everyone! Kevin here with today's report! Strangely enough it always seems like on Wednesday (my "scheduled" surf report day) the swell is always dropping.... Oh the irony. ANYWAY, lets get to it!

Not a bad day for surf today. In fact, conditions were pretty stellar all around. Beautiful and sunny out, light wind, good tides, the only thing that was lacking was swell.

Swell dropped a tad bit more today, but it was definitely still rideable out there.

Checked the spot in the early morning, and then again in the afternoon but conditions seemed pretty constant.

The shorebreak over at the beach at Playa Colorado is pretty small as you can see. This is often a good indicator of incoming swell

Full suits are the call right now, but due to the sun you can definitely get away with some boardies and a good neoprene top

The inside at Pangas was working today

I like this guy's style

Fun little wave on the inside. Space for a good maneuver.

It's funny how people seem to all get in the water at once....

Beautiful day for a stroll.

These boys were coming back from a sesh. The local boys have been braving the waters in boardies recently.

One of the sets that I saw come through. Nice wall going right.

I like this guy's style as well.  Pangas is not as fast of a wave as Colorado's so you have more time to think and plan your next maneuver.  There's also more time to feel the wave and express your style.

Check out this sequence:

Winds were on and off throughout the morning but blowing offshore. It's definitely been a lot less wind than the last couple of weeks though that's for sure.

Up and over!

Small but nice shape

Anyway, that's it for today guys! Beautiful day to go for a surf, although don't expect any big waves. Perfect off season day!!! See you all next time!! ~Kevin
