Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, February 21, 2011

Hi there, this is the NSR family with the early Monday surf report.  We got to the beach super early this morning and were able to score a couple of fun waves when the tide was dropping.  It was running about waist to chest high on sets, with nice offshore winds and the water was still chilly.  Check it out!!!

Since the tide was dropping when we got to the beach, the waves were a little fast.  Here is caught this dude dropping into a nice looking left on his backside.

There were only 4 or 5 guys in the water, taking advantage of the empty lineup.  This is Lair from Norway trying to get some speed to make it over that section.

It was a nice day to take your family to the beach and do some surf.  This is a nice family from Holland I met on the beach today.  They are pretty stoked to be down here, one of the best spots to spend your vacation.

A couple beginners were out on their own and they were doing pretty well.  Here is this shot of one of them riding this little nugget all the way in to the beach.

El Mope Miranda was the only local surfer that was out this morning and he was ripping all over the place.  Check him out attacking the lip of this closed out section.

On the last action shot of the day we have Mojo-Jojo Jackson digging his tail on this bottom turn.  He got to score many of the better waves as well.

The waves are supposed to stay about this size for the next few days but it is supposed to pick up by the weekend.  Please stay tuned with us!
