Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, January 24, 2011

Another fun swell is starting to hit Nicaragua right now.  Everybody thinks that the good surfing season in Nicaragua start on March but this year so far is looking like the best January we’ve ever had.  Lots of fun waves to surf, the winds are not too strong and the water is not cold.  We do not know what is happening but we are not complaining.  It was head high on sets this morning, the wind was light offshore and the water was nice.  Check it out!!!

It was a big surprise to see only international dudes out there, there was not even one local in the water.  Jeremy digging his arm to get some shade on this right.

David was picking up some real fun ones.  Here he is working on his bottom turn backside style on this sweet left hander.

If you are coming down to Nicaragua, never forget your sunblock. If you do, just stop by any of our shops and get one.  We are up in Tola (Iguana) or San Juan del Sur.  You will need it for sure!!!

A few beginners were out on their own and a couple of got lucky enough to score some nice ones.  Check out Kai racing down the line on this little nugget.

David “El Pelon” Osiris was able to paddle out and crushed it.  Here he is caught throwing buckets with a cool backside snap.

There were some nice waves rolling in by Machete Pt as well but nobody was out there.  Nice looking wave, uh!

The shot of the day presented by Lucha Libre, ja ,ja, ja, just kidding.  Take your board and bring your girl down here for a sick honeymoon trip.  Shoot us an email if you need a place to stay at [email protected].

The last action shot of the day goes to David “El Esparrago” with a killer frontside turn on this nice looking right.  He was taking advantage in the lineup and picked up many fun ones.

Alright folks, that’s all for today.  The swell is building through the next days so stay tuned with us or even better, take the first flight down here and score some uncrowded fun surf right now.
