Nicaragua Surf Report for Thursday, November 09, 2023

Josh S

Hey everyone! Here’s Thursday’s surf action coming your way from Colorados. I could feel the beginning of the phase shift into dry season today. That being said there were still some fun set waves if you were patient.

Josh S

Wes Yockey was out gliding across some of the bigger set waves. He took the patient approach today of waiting for the better waves, but it looks like it paid off!

Josh S

Wow! Look at that picture perfect mini-drainer. If only this wave was 5 times bigger :)

Josh S

Aga showcasing some dance moves on this left. She caught a lot of waves today. I think she combo’d me today :)

Josh S

The limbo! How low can you go?

Josh S

Lauren dropping into a good sized, chest-high set wave. I was impressed as I didn’t know that Lauren had prior surf experience, but her stance and posture were solid. Nice work with the push-in assist Nacho!

Josh S

Elise dominated the lineup today. The conditions were certainly better suited to longboards than shortboards. Her hang-fives are so dialed that she can even submerge her board, giving the appearance that she is walking on water.

Josh S

Elise spent so much time up front over her nose that I think she might have some toe-marks in the wax up there.

Josh S

Not only was she gliding around, but she wasn’t afraid to get on rail! Elise, you won the heat today!

Josh S

I saw her grab a few faster waves today (and in days past) where she was specifically focused on honing her barrel riding form. She’s already prepping for next surf season.

Josh S

Viewer, you could’ve been on this empty gem!

Josh S

Elise looks completely relaxed here. I bet she could hang-five blind-folded.

Josh S

Kyle from Idaho was working on generating down the line speed today. He did well considering his frame, his board’s size, and the gentle waves today.

Josh S

Elise even managed to grab the only barrel I saw all day. She had to stomp down all the way on the back of the tail. Successful stall!

Josh S

Oscar volando (flying), no big deal.

Josh S

The ladies dominated the lineup today! It was like Blue Crush out there haha! I was stoked to see so many female rippers capitalizing on the playful longboard conditions. Tomorrow looks like it will be fairly gentle again, but that’s no issue if the wave faces are very clean again! Thanks for checking in and have a good one.
