Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, November 10, 2023

Josh S

Happy Friday everyone! Here’s today’s action from Playa Colorado. The dry season surf conditions persisted today. Mellow waves and crisp offshore wind.

Josh S

Lance was on high alert for the few set waves that did roll through. He locked into this hollow right for some quick tube time.

Josh S

Rowan was the only surfer finding head high waves today haha. He’s got his eyes focused down the line.

Josh S

Schwappah! This guy pushed his chin through this turn haha.

Josh S

Ooooohh, a late drop! He’d better engage his toe-side rail quick and shift his vision down the line!

Josh S

Allegedly there is some swell on the way starting on Sunday. Rowan and I discussed what good barrel form looks like while riding frontside. He was able to fine-tune his tube stance, and is looking ready for the coming swell.

Josh S

Frito was getting his morning weight-lifting session in. Frito or “Rocky” Balboa haha

Josh S

Rowan sliding down the line on a small, smooth left.

Josh S

Jeff found one of the few better left sets this morning. Almost big enough to squeeze into the barrel!

Josh S

Barrel of the day!

Josh S

Rowan was also honing his backside barrel riding form. He’s looking pretty solid here, but ideally he’d open up his chest and hips a more so that his front knee is pointing toward the wave face.

Josh S

Who’s that on the straight-hander?! Haha. The surf was very gentle today, great for kids and beginners / intermediates. Tomorrow is forecasted to be a bit larger, so if you’re curious check back in again tomorrow. Cheers guys and have a good one.
