NSR

Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, December 18, 2015

Happy Friday everybody!! This is Paker checking in for the NSR surf report. The waves stayed in the stomach to chest high region and were very playful. Check it out!

We always brag about our blue water colors but we could not this morning. The sun was rising behind me so it gave the water a special tint. Blue or peachy water, I'll take it!

Nobody was surfing up north so I checked out to see what was happening down south. Still, not a soul stirring. There are plenty of right hander rollers coming through!

During higher tides, the waves were breaking well. Snag a few before your huevos rancheros this morning!

Our entire NSR staff celebrated Christmas at Yolanda's Cafe last night. Our owners (Pancho, Hace Queso, and Carlos Caliente) hosted a super fun evening. Check out the shots!

Mmmm delicious! Chicken, rice, beans, fried plantains, salad, mashed potatoes, and mixed vegetables. Marvin, Noland, and I worked extra hard yesterday to make more room in our stomachs.

Research say you should hang out outside of work to build stronger friendships. You don't have to ask us twice to test those "theories!" Gringos and NICAs together had a blast.

Meet the NSR Outer Reef surf team!

What's a fun Nicaraguan party without some traditional games? Surfari jumps onto her Mom's lap to pop the balloon. #goteamMcMandon

Other NSR employees, like Norman and myself, aren't good for too much more besides spending the days at Ometepe, San Juan del Sur, or jumping off the third story of a boat...

What about the classic pin the tail on the donkey? Ana's little stud nailed it everytime!

We like to have fun at NSR but Ana Ruiz and Alma Jean get down to business. These dedicated ladies do an immense amount of leg work behind the scenes to ensure you have a great vacation. Thank you ladies for your tireless effort and to your husbands for joining the party!!

Meet the Estrada family. Marlan and Leyda are the crew holding down Casa Marisombra. It's impossible to find Marlan not smiling and sharing the good vibes. Another fact: Marlito (far right) is Rivas' number one baseball prospect.

Sometimes the party gets the best of us... #slumpcam

I am a hungry biased man but I am strongly encourage you to book the NSR meal plan. If you prefer not to shop, cook, clean, and appreciate authentic delicious food, let us staff your rental property with one of our girls. Trust me, Geysel, Heylin, and Suyen make amazing food!

Yolanda, thank you for hosting our huge crew and sending us home with happy full bellies! We will most certainly see you again soon.

Carl's family made the trip down from Coldstream Canada to celebrate. Thank you March, Joel, and most importantly Henry for joining us!

Ok everybody, I hope you enjoyed some NICA life in the report today! Happy Friday and have a good weekend. Pancho and I are out to go see STAR WARS!!! May the force be with you!
