Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, November 22, 2008

Last night we had a fun party at Lucha’s mother house.  We were celebrating Lucha’s wife birthday with a tasty BBQ and a couple of beers.  The food was really good and the cake was the best.  Here we have a shot of Luz Ayda moments before to serve it.

After a few beers everybody was feeling good and having a good time.  The super duper Cooper family was part of the action and wanted to take a couple of photos to keep a memory.  Everybody wanted to taste the cake, it doesn’t matter how.

The beach was packed today and there weren’t many waves to be had so everybody was giving it their all trying to catch some small ones.  It was knee high on sets and the wind was strong offshore again.  Check it out.

There were about 40 guys out today.  It is very unusual to have day like this down here in Nicaragua when we have so many people out with no waves.  Here we have a shot of this guy getting cut off by this girl.

This is a shot of an unknown surfer riding one of the better waves of the day.  The waves were super small today but hopefully we are going to a new swell in the next couple of days.

A couple of locals were out trying to do some stuff on the small and soft waves.  Here we caught Pedro “El Cacaste” Florez with a sweet off the top on this left.

It was a perfect day to take the big panga out and a couple of guys did.  This guy in this shot was killing it on his longboard.  He was taking lefts and rights all the way to the beach.  In this case he opted to go left.

Later on at the bay, the Peace Passers organized a quick soccer and volleyball tournament on the beach.  There were 14 soccer teams competing and having fun together.  Alright folks, that’s all for today.  Please check back tomorrow.
