Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, October 01, 2019

Brian Scott

Welcome to the Tuesday surf report amigos. Sadly today we slipped into another onshore weather pattern with some heavy howling winds completely decimating all the good swell that has been pumping our shoreline the last 3 days.

Brian Scott

Although we all knew the “good weather” wasn’t going to last forever (being this is our normal rainy and unfavorable weather season), still arriving at the beach and seeing this after the last couple days of “INSANELY” sick waves, it leaves you feeling a little heartbroken.

Brian Scott

So that being said, I’m not the type of guy to bring the party down! We’ll just do a little side by side comparison of todays mess with yesterdays glory of a beautiful end of the season September day.  Yup, this was yesterday!

Brian Scott

And this is today. Night and day difference!

Brian Scott

If there’s one good thing that comes after a few really good days of pumping surf, everyones completely surfed out and noodle armed to the max.

Brian Scott

I checked the waves a couple times and I never saw one surfer out. I guess the noodle arm syndrome was in full effect today.

Brian Scott

With solid kegging barrels like this, its no wonder.

Brian Scott

Those wispy palm fringes are not pointing in the right direction!!!!!

Brian Scott

Still pinching myself from yesterdays waves. It was like this pretty much the entire day.

Brian Scott

Messy with a side of YUCK! Haha - but believe it or not, there is still some magnificent swell in the water, it’s just blown out.

Brian Scott

I’m sure this dude would take 100 more of these over todays waves!

Brian Scott

Backdoor made a quick appearance here the last couple of days.

Brian Scott

I actually did see one guy out. Here he is.

Brian Scott

Here’s one guy (actually it’s local charger Lesther Espinoza) standing comfortably tall at his favorite home wave, ayer.

Brian Scott

I’d be running away too, I guess. better to go find something else to do today.

Brian Scott

If have to leave you with something dreamy yet a little bit scary, it will have to be this sand dredging low tide monster Jeison bagged yesterday at dead low tide.

Brian Scott

Super heavy, super thick and LOVES to eat surfboards. Matter a fact, this ate his second board of the session in less than half an hour out there puling into these beasts! SOOOO Sikkkkk JaaaaySON!!!!

Alright my friends, thanks for stopping by to see what happen today and hope the little slideshow from yesterdays waves helped stoke you out a little. Speaking of slideshow with these down days of waves, come on by the new Iguana Brewery for some drinks and $1 Pizza by the slice tomorrow evening from 7-9 where I’ll be showing photos on the big screen from the last few days of good swell!!! Hope to see you down there! Cheers ~ B
