Nicaragua Surf Report for Thursday, October 01, 2015

Hola primos and welcome back to the NSR surf report with Parker! The waves stayed in the stomach to chest/shoulder range so we caught plenty of fun ones. Check out our shots from this morning!

A few of us hopped in the car and went to a beach break up north. Who doesn't enjoy starting their day with an early morning strike mission for uncrowded waves???

At the beginning of the session, the waves were still fat from the full moon's high tide. Regardless, our crew found some great peaks.

Bryan is part of the group from San Diego staying in the NSR Beach House. I know he had a tough time leaving his comfy bed to make it the dawn patrol session..........

Colton is also part of the crew and has a minor foot injury. Looks like he is dialed in and his sprays were not affected... I told you so amigo!

Judging by the wave's texture, the breeze turned onshore last night. If the wind is offshore, you will find Lesther deep in a tube. If it's onshore, you will find him lauching off the lips. He always has fun and adapts to enjoy the different conditions!

Before we get too deep in the action, today is a special day at NSR because Safari McMandon turns 7! When Bryan and Heather's daughter isn't watching Anna find true love with Kristoff or creating her own rendition of "Single Ladies" with Soleil, she is enjoying her sparkling cider. Enjoy your day with the family Safari!

During dinner last week, Safari gave me a quick Spanish lesson. I'll relay the message to help you guys too: please respect the beaches and throw your trash away!

Even though we tease Bryan for being a World War I veteran, we all appreciate your service in the Marines! Besides, he's still young in spirit (despite the grey hair).

Lesther paddled south and found plenty of empty waves. I was a little suprised to see him forgo the rights and gobble up all the lefts.

Their river has been flowing and depositing sand in the south peak. Just a little more rain and some more swell and this spot will be firing!

As the high tide dropped, the sun rose, and our stomachs starting rumbling, the waves became more hollow. Somebody please hold the camera while I go take the right!

This break contains many different peaks so waves are frequently breaking towards each other. Bryan figured it out how to squeeze in one more trick per wave.

Colton is a very talented DJ in the States and a great lobster fisherman.

This just in: Lesther is still enjoying uncontested lefts at the south end of the beach.

I love surfing our home break's hollow tubes; however, I want to keep you on your toes and show you the other great waves Nicaragua has to offer!

The weekend is upon us so every Nicaraguan is out catching dinner for their family BBQ. Hit up NSR if you want to experience the NICA style of fishing with a hand line. Once you hook a nice snapper, you'll never visit Bass Pro again!

Ok guys and gals, it's time to get out there to play and enjoy the incoming tide. Have a good weekend and I appreciate y'all checking out our report! Adios amigos!!
