Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, September 06, 2020

Brian Scott

Hola and Welcome back for another one of our Happy Sunday Fundays here in the land of green! That’s right, lots of rain all night and that lush rainforest is looking thicker and thicker while the waves were greener and greener!

The morning sesh was all time glassy goodness, however the crowd (I heard was pretty thick) maybe around 40+ people out there. I made it down a little late in the morning and the waves were still pretty good, but the texture had already appeared, but that didn’t stop Erin from having a blast out there!

If Tony keeps up with his surfing to shooting ratio, he might need to start looking for some sponsors for his empty surfboard! Jaja

I’d say the crowd went down about half from the time I checked it and made it back down with my camera. But needless to say, there were still quite a people out still enjoying the sun weather and playful waves, like Rutci here.

It was more of schralp-fest out there than people getting barrels. I think the low tide had a lot to do with it.

Mr. Josh focused and working hard on his backhand rail and carving game.

Kai as well…. it was super rippable and super consistent with waves coming in at about 4 or 5 different peaks along the beach.

We had a few visitors from outside the gates today.  Even though they drove in, some still wanted to say they flew into town.

With all that rain that going down last night, I was really surprised to see that the water was as green (and not brown) as it was.

Mystery barrel surfer making a messy one look easy… and he came out quite a ways later down the beach too, which was super impressive!

It looks like we have some more swell coming too, so let’s cross our fingers the winds stay down like they have at least for the mornings. The whole day would be even better. I’ll see you all again mañana! Cheers ~
