Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, September 01, 2008

Hi folks, we are Lucha Libre and Come Pan Panic with the Monday surf report.  Today we headed out to the bay because it looks like this is the best spot to surf once again.  The waves were running about chest high on sets, with ON SHORE winds.  Just a couple of locals made it out with us today, the surf wasn’t that good but they made it out just to get some exercise and not get  bored.  Check it out.

Larry “Carita de Venado” Davila was one of the few locals that were out today trying to  get a little something  going. We got a couple of pictures of some of the best waves that came through.  The wind was even stronger than the  past 2 days but the boat sinking season hasn’t started yet.  That should be coming soon.

The rain is bringing a lot of garbage to the streets in town, but this time of the year the mayor's office is doing a good job, sending many workers to pick it up and keep our town as clean as they can.  Here is one of the guys that was doing his thing today,  trying to keep the garbage away from the water.  Remember to pick up your trash.

Another interesting thing we found today were these people, grandfather and grandson fixing an 80 H.P. Suzuki Motor.  This is what old fisherman do when they start getting older, try to pass all of thier knowledge to the kids.  This will be a valuable skill for this young man one day.

It is incredible when you go to different places around the world and you cant imagine what you are going to find. These 3 guys came down like 5 days ago and  found this little kid walking the streets.   He doesn’t have any family and these guys hooked him up.  They bought him shoes, clothes and all he needs to live like a king for 3 days.  Thanks so much for doing this kind of stuff down here guys.  Alright  folks, the surf is supposed to be the same tomorrow but we’ll try to  post some interesting stuff, so check back with us and find out what we do around town.
