Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, August 31, 2008

Hi folks, this is Jairo “Come Pan” Panic bringing you the Sunday surf report. Today was another busy day for the NSR Surf School. The best place we found for surf was in the bay of San Juan Del Sur.  It was running about waist to chest high on sets and the wind was a little lighter than it has been for the past few days but was still onshore. There were a lot of people surfing today but we managed to get a shot of this little grinder going unridden.

For our next shot of the day we have some friends from Florida who wanted to take surf lessons with one of the best surfers in the country, Oliver Solis. From left to right we have Patrick Kavanagh , Allison Kirchner, Patricia and her husband Gavin Macphail. The conditions weren’t the greatest today, but our group said they had the time of their lives.

For the first shot of our students we have Allison doing a nice rail grab drop in on a small but lined up left. It didn’t take her long at all to pick up the basics of surfing. She did exceptionally well today.

Our next student is Patricia, this girl had it down, after her third or fourth wave she was able to bottom turn and go down the line on almost every wave that she caught. This is just one of her many good rides. She told me that she has caught the surfing bug and is going to buy her very own surfboard when she gets back to Miami.

This is Patricia’s husband Gavin who took a lesson with us yesterday.Today he decided to rent a board from us and test out some of the skills that he learned. He also picked it up pretty quickly. They both said that they could not wait to come back to Nicaragua and see what the waves are like when the conditions are better.

For our last shot of the day we have our really good buddy Patrick taking off on a fairly clean left. This is his second trip down to Nicaragua this year. He wanted to bring his girlfriend Allison to share his passion for our Country. We can’t wait to have you back again. Please check back with us tomorrow.”Come Pan” out.
