Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, July 22, 2017

Brian Scott

Welcome back and Happy Saturday Chicos y Chicas! Waves have come down a bit in size from that last couple of days, but there were still some fun stuff to get out there and ride today.  Check it out!!

Brian Scott

Rutcie was out making a fun day for herself, as always! You ready for that next big swell hermana?

Brian Scott

I know Scott’s ready for some more juicy waves. Lets hit up some mysto reefs with that ski once those buoys start popping buddy!

Brian Scott

Definitely a lot smaller today for the most part, but as you can see this place can handle 2 feet and practically 20 feet and everywhere in between; and this place still manages to look fun and ridable.

Brian Scott

Better off enjoying the small stuff now, because if you’re not a fan of overhead to DOH waves, then next week might be a good time to go watch the big boys do their thing at one of the outer reefs (if its happening).

Brian Scott

The lighting and weather today was really trippy. On and off sprinkle showers and moody lighting created some really interesting looking water colors and sky backgrounds out in the line up.

Brian Scott

TR, completely manhandling this inside section. It was very skatepark esque today.

Brian Scott

Josee’s back and ready for some good surf…. just in time Jo Jo! Next weeks gonna be pumping!

Brian Scott

Almost all the surf today was front and center thanks to that really fat high tide. The waves were breaking literally all the way into the sand.

Brian Scott

And if you rode is all the way in you had better kick out or you’re gonna be dry docked!

Brian Scott

Señor Riegler’s in the house as well! Welcome back buddy. You ready for some more stand up barrels???

Brian Scott

This is one of those fine examples of riding those waves all the way in…

Brian Scott

and here’s what happens when the backwash meets the wave you’re riding. KAAAA-BOOOM!!!

Brian Scott

So much water rushing up the beach with this 9 foot high tide.

Brian Scott

Just remember to watch out for your belongings as I watched a few hand bags, beach towels, even someone’s young one almost got swept out… so please be careful out there parents & amigos!!

Brian Scott

Save the date for tomorrow (Sunday) and head on over to Casa Ananas for their Lasagna & Ravioli Night with live music. They’ll be serving up homemade ricotta ravioli & filet Mignon in red wine Sauce! With special musical guests Marvin Lover & Lolo Moraga, playing jazz, funk & reggea sets with Special 2 for 1 maracuya mojitos! Casa Ananas is located off of hole 8 on the golf course right next door to the Golf Condos. Come by to check out their cozy new layout!

Brian Scott
