Nicaragua Surf Report for Thursday, June 18, 2020

Welcome to this Thursday's surf report, the swell is taking a break today and we have some smaller waves today. We still had a few surfers out taking advantage of some smaller fun sized waves. Scroll to the bottom of the report for a nice little video of the past week of surfing.

Kai was the only guy out when I got to the beach to shoot this morning and this is the first wave I saw him on. Nice little barrel and the ocean all to himself!

Sometimes when the waves are smaller and not so critical like they have been the last few days it gives an opportunity to work on some turns and some manuevers and Kai is taking full advantage.

There were a few more people checking the waves looking to see where would be good for some fun rides.

It was about this time that I thought I'm gonna paddle out catch a few and see if anyone else shows up so I can shoot at some more subjects.

Phillipe paddled out and we caught a few with Kai, then I jumped back on land so I can capture some of the magic.

Don't start thinking that the waves were ankle biters now though there were still some decent set waves that would come through occasionally.

Phillipe setting up his line with a strong bottom turn!

Lucas paddled out to join in on the fun and nabbed this nice little left right off the bat.

As I was coming in Hayden was also stoked to get out there, most I saw today was a handful of people in the water at one time.. Safe to say most of the surfers were worn out from this epic run of swell we've been having. Should pick back up for the weekend tomorrow as well.

I think the smile does all the talking, great times with amazing people. Life is always good when you can throw on some boardshorts and paddle out for a few nugs.

Here is a little edit from the last few days, can't say it was always when the waves were most epic because when they are I can't help myself and have to paddle out. lol I can say however that there are some jewels in here so check it out! Hope you enjoy.

Okay that's all for today folks, parting shot will be Hayden on one of the bigger waves i saw come through this morning. Take it easy, check out Brian's report tomorrow and tune back in Saturday for a special spot surprise report!
