And talking about surprises… 7 months ago Tropical Storm Nate surprised everyone with a big flood that affected over 3,000 families, around 30% of the population of this area. Many homes were swept away and many others lost entire walls.

Many people are still living under the temporary makeshift, very hot, non-breathing plastic barriers. To add to these worrying conditions, rainy season is about to start again.

MOG (Missions of Grace), is a non-profit organization that has been working in this area for many years, mainly with Health-related programs but with plenty of experience on Disaster Reliefs too. As of now, MOG has aided in the reconstruction of seven homes, and have selected 14 more families to aid. BUT, MOG needs your help… each house costs between $800 and $1000 to rebuild.
