Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, May 03, 2009

Hi everybody, welcome to our Sunday surf report.  This is Jairo “Come Pan” Panic brining you all the action from the beach. Today we woke up early and headed out expecting to get some sizeable waves. Unfortunately when we got there the waves were pretty inconsistent and also it was overcast, onshore winds, and the jellyfish were out doing their thing.

As you can see in this shot people were getting stung by the jellyfish. This guy got a bad sting on the neck and got out of the water. Dude, hope you feel better.

We would like to introduce the new NSR Summer Intern, Jeremiah. He’s from Florida and will be down here with us for the next 4 months focusing on website and graphic design projects... and of course surfing his brains out in the process!  We've already seen some of his work and are excited to have him as part of the NSR Family!   Welcome to Nicaragua Jeremiah!

We are super stoked to have D-lite’s mom Cathy down here for a visit for a week. She made it out to the beach today to hang out with the NSR family and watch the surf action.

Pancho Sanchez had a good surf session this morning.  He was taking plenty of fun waves like this one.  Here he is about to hit this section.

Today Andy hired me to take a bunch of sick souvenir pictures back to Florida.  Here he is with this front side hack.  We are stoked you had a great time at the beach today!!!

The locals made it out today.  They were putting on a good show in the water and getting ready for the upcoming National surf contest.  Here is Rex “La Bestia” Calderon with this sick front side air and trying to get away from the jellyfish.

Gabriel woke up early this morning to get some fun waves as well.  Check out him with this stylish front side snap.

Luis “La Baloy” Chamorro was ripping like always. Here he is with the last shot of the day about to destroy the lip.  The waves should be about the same like today, with offshore wind all day.  Make sure to check out the waves tomorrow, it should be fun.    “Come Pan” signing off.
