Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, April 20, 2019

Brian Scott

Happy Saturday everyone! Well, it was another fine day at the beach on our eve of Easter with everyone here celebrating Semana Santa. Waves were in the chest high range with some really clean condition, until some winds starting blowing out of the north right before sunset.

Brian Scott

Jake was out there way early to get some of those super clean conditions. Check him out racing around the corner of this nice size right.

Brian Scott

There were quite a few really nice peaks up and down the beach. The lefts were just as good as the rights.

Brian Scott

Jake ripping on another right. Dude you were killing out there this evening.

Brian Scott

Mikey from Montauk, NY getting in some more Nica vacation time with his family. He was just here a couple of months ago.

Brian Scott

Mike’s wife, Joni enjoying the beautiful conditions here as well.

Brian Scott

When in doubt, always go over the closeout section.

Brian Scott

Semana Santa fist bumps are where it’s at!!!

Brian Scott

In some cultures, it is considered rude to point. Not in surfing. Pointing is a very good thing!

Brian Scott

I think this is what he was pointing at anyways.

Brian Scott

This guy on the stretch board was ripping out in the lineup.

Brian Scott

Evan and his brother Bryon and local ripper Marcos and I went on a boat trip up north yesterday. The place we went to was easily an 8 or maybe even 9 for how good this place can get.  Now Evan’s about to get in some last minute surfing before he has to leave back home tomorrow.

Brian Scott

Jake - on fire, as usual!

Brian Scott

I’m not sure who this guy was, but he had some of the sickest turns on every wave he caught.

Brian Scott

This is Todd, Jake’s dad. You can see where Jake gets his talent from, eh?!?

Brian Scott

My parting shot goes to the homie, Cesar. Always ripping as the sun goes down in Nica-Land.

Brian Scott

And that concludes my surf report for today folks. Come back by for tomorrow’s Easter and last day of the week long festivities to see how the surf is. It might be pretty uncrowded, especially if everyone goes big with the parties tonight! Be safe and enjoy ~
