Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, March 23, 2021

Brian Scott

Welcome to the Tuesday surf report amigos! Today’s surf action took place once again in the late afternoon, where the waves seem to be the biggest, however the winds cold of been a little more optimal, but hey nobodies complaining here!

Brian Scott

Although surfing is pretty much a forward moving and very much ahead of the cultural game for the most part of this thing called life.. Derek still takes time to reflect on the past for a split moment.

Brian Scott

If I came across as todays waves as being somewhat marginal. Well I hope this wave/shot helps to cure the slight misconception that this place definitely has it’s moments out there!

Brian Scott

Unless you surf, you’ll never know this exact feeling of pressure there is to pull off what seems like just a simple take off.  All eyes on the guy center stage!

Brian Scott

What do you do when it’s 5:45 pm and the last bit of sunlight is just about to run out…. well….. you run out as fast as you can so you can grab the last few nuggets before it gets dark.

Brian Scott

Lovers paradise. At least two completely different variations here.

Brian Scott

5:54 and your paddle out and catching your first wave time is impeccable!

5:55 and your paddle out and catching your first wave time is impeccable! No the is not a duplicate photo or caption. It’s the two hermanos, Koji and Yuji catching two super sick drainers back to back just as the sun falls off in the far distance.

Brian Scott

I can’t remember now, is it next month for tax season again???? Well here, EVERYONE pays taxes any given time if you wanna play at one of the best beach breaks in all of Nicaragua.

Brian Scott

I don’t think Colin will be getting a refund on this one unfortunately.

Brian Scott

Matter a fact, I think he might owe. OUCH!!!! Gotta give him props for showing up to H&R Block on a soft top though!!! Jaja

And not every picture perfect low tide drained out cover up comes as easily as you all might think, without consequence from time to time either.

Brian Scott

Put some lime on the coconut haha! J/k D…. that was a pretty solid cylinder you pulled into! Glad your heads not in need of something more, like some stitches. Ice it and let’s try for round two mañana hermano!

At the end of every day, this is what all of us usually get to witness and see and at the same time be blessed more than most can imagine!!!!

On a very special and untimely sad notice, I would like to share a message regarding one of our very own amazing and talented Latina American water women and very talented upcoming surfer who was chosen and training to represent her home country of El Salvador for the Olympic Surf Team.

It is with a heavy heart that the ISA has learned about the passing of El Salvador’s Katherine Diaz. Katherine embodied the joy and energy that make surfing so special and dear to us all, as a global ambassador of the sport. She excelled at the international competition level, representing her country with pride at both the ISA World Surfing Games and ISA World Junior Surfing Championship. We send our heartfelt condolences to Katherine’s family, the surfers of El Salvador, and to all those in the international surfing community whose lives she touched.

We will never forget you ~ +++
