Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, March 17, 2017

What is up people!  Happy Friday to everyone tuning in with us here at NSR!  The ocean is feeling very tranquil today, with waist high waves and light offshore winds for those looking for some action!

I went and checked out the reef early this morning, there was a small handful of surfers, patiently waiting for the bigger sets to break with the high tide.

Down at the beach break there was more of the same… A few people out with some inconsistent but fun looking waves coming in!

We took a ride up north to one of the country’s most famous and consistent surf spots, thinking we would find a bit more than we actually did. Small but perfect waves coming in with again, only a few surfers sharing the peak!

The river mouth looked the most fun of all the spots I checked today! Nobody surfing with some nice little barrels coming in! I even saw a few of these puppies spit!

Going off a tip from our friend we went in search of the secret tide pool as the afternoon brought on the low tide! We were pretty excited after walking in the blazing sun thru hot sand when we laid eyes on that clear, clean water!

One of the pools didn’t look quite as inviting! You can tell what is covering the rock right?!

We had the pool almost to ourselves except for a couple of locals!

I heard Gerry Lopez once say, “surfing and yoga are the same.” I wouldn’t know, but I’m sure I will be learning with this young lady practicing around me all the time!

The pools really are a great way to spend some of your afternoon! Just another example of the benefits of visiting us down here in Nicaragua! Just come in to the NSR shop and give Parker a small bribe for the whereabouts!

I haven’t surfed for a couple days and I’m starting to see waves all over the place! I’m sure all the surfers out there know the feeling!

On our way back home we stopped by a local ranch to check out the happenings. There was one bull in here with all of these heifers… Lucky guy! Hey Seidy, do those girls look familiar?

Trees grow fast down here near the equator! With long days of sunshine year round it’s easy to see why! I bet if it weren’t for the lack of rainfall this old girl would be even more impressive!

Thanks for hanging out and checking the surf report today everyone! We see some swell headed our way for the middle of next week! Check your schedules and book a trip down to stay with us if you’re in need of some spring barrels! We’ll be back tomorrow with a fresh update from the beach! This is Eric saying adios a todos!
