Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, March 14, 2010

Hi everybody, this is Miguel bringing you one more time all the action for this Sunday surf report.  Today we went to the beach in the afternoon trying to score some really fun waves.  Finally, after one week ago we had offshore winds, that’s why we had a lot of people in the water trying to get some waves.   The waves were super fun, running about waist to chest high on sets with nice offshore winds.  Check out the lineup!!!

On the first surfing shot of the day we have this beautiful girl one of the many that we had in the water today.  Look at her riding on this clean left hander.

The lineup was very crowded today, we had about 23 or 25 surfers including a few locals.  Here we have Augusto “La Gaviota” Chamorro with this cool snap on this little wave.

There were a couple of international guys having shack as well.  Here we have this unknown surfer getting shacked on this killer right.

Here we have our very good friend Chulin, he was catching some really nice waves.  Check him out with this cool bottom turn on this beautiful left hander.

Today we had a few beginners in the water trying to get some waves.   Here we have this little girl trying to stand up on this little nugget.  Her mom was happy taking pictures of her, and his dad watching on the back very proud.

On the last shot of the day we have this unknown surfer dropping in on this sweet right hander.  Alright fellas, that’s all for today.  Please check back tomorrow.

....but wait, we're not done yet.  Act now and get these extra surf report shots absolutely free.  These are from the early morning session out at Panga's.  Everywhere else was small and dribbly, but this spot still served up some head-high set waves.  The line-up resembled Trestles a little this morning, only warmer and way less people.

Before paddling out, Gregg explains the virtues of the special bottom contours on his Walden Magic board.  "It makes it go faster" is all I remember.  Gregg, everybody knows that it's the FINS that make a board go faster!

Needless to say, Gregg and Karen were stoked to see this on their walk to paddle out!

If you surf Panga's, you are bound to see Jack See.  He lives right in front of this wave and has the place wired.  This is him picking off one of the better waves we saw.  It lined up all the way to the beach for him.  Nice work Jack!

People were splitting peaks like this one all morning.  Not a bad way to end up the week.  Check back with us tomorrow.
