Nicaragua Surf Report for Thursday, November 02, 2023

Josh S

Ooo-la-laaa! Tasty Thursday surf report coming your way from Colorados. It looked smaller today, but when I paddled out after shooting I realized it was still solid. The wind was definitely more favorable today relative to the past few days.

Josh S

It always stinks when you have to pass up a really good wave because you are too wide. It’s not like you didn’t want the wave, just that the barrel would’ve already finished by the time you’re up to your feet.

Josh S

A superb demonstration of the “barrel roll”. This guy was the King of the Boogeys today.

Josh S

Another boogey up North, steep and deep on a beautiful right.

Josh S

I was impressed with this chica’s commitment on this top turn. It was a big, steep wave face to climb!

Josh S

All the surfers out this morning lucked out! It was the cleanest I’ve seen the wave faces in about a week. This morning’s session alone probably made the trip down worth it for the visiting surfers.

Josh S

This is the unholy situation. The wave looks good at first glance, but the rip current resultant from the wave(s) prior ruins wave 2, 3, etc. of the set.

Josh S

Jeison with the barrel of the day. Tubaassoooo!

Josh S

After weaving through the tube for about 4 seconds, he launched up and away for the air of the day!

Josh S

Lesther pig-dogging his way through a nice insider left.

Josh S

Lock ’n Load!

Josh S

Lesther looks like he can slow down time on these fast, square, right barrels. I’ve seen him make 5-6+ second tubes on waves similar to this one. He’s got time control!

Josh S

Skkrrrtt! Hit the breaks amigo! He got a nice little tube though.

Josh S

Bruno on his daily barrel routine :)

Josh S

What a day! I was bummed because the wind came onshore around 11:00am when I paddled out, but it was so hollow with the lower tide that I still got barreled haha! Each day has been a surprise this past week, so be sure to stop back in tomorrow and catch the latest action!
