Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, October 06, 2023

Josh S

Hey everyone! The wind picked up quick today! Here’s some of Friday’s action from Playa Colorado.

Josh S

This guy had the right idea of chucking some buckets on this left. I do think his vision should’ve led the nose of his board, but perhaps he wanted to see just how much spray he could toss.

Josh S

Speed was the name of the game with today’s crumbly onshore sections.

Josh S

This guy caught one of the bigger waves of the day. His set up was good, but…

Josh S

Unfortunately it shut down on him. I’m not sure if he’s stoked he didn’t get gobbled up or if he’s frustrated here haha.

Josh S

He even managed to add a bonus point to his wave with a booty ride!

Josh S

Simon on a decent-sized left down South. He was very patient waiting for this one. It was a higher interval underlying swell today, so it took more patience between the quality waves.

Josh S

Drawing out your bottom turns is beneficial when the swell starts to get bigger and there’s open faces to work with.

Josh S

I think this guy might be having second thoughts about taking the elevator down.

Josh S

Imagine how sick the barrel would’ve been on this one if the wind had been offshore!

Josh S

If it’s no good for surfing, maybe worth a bodysurf :)

Josh S

It’s a shame the wind kicked up quicker today, but I think tomorrow morning could be decent. It’s been really steamy outside, but plenty of sunshine and extreme low tides which are great for strolls on the beach. Thanks for checking in and I’ll see y’all tomorrow!
