Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, September 10, 2017

Brian Scott

Happy Sunday everyone! Still howling onshore today, so we had to get creative. Click that next button to see how we do “gettin’ creative” when the surf is no bueno.

Brian Scott

Lets take a tour through the new and improved NSR headquarters, aka Surf Shop.

Brian Scott

This is part of what you’ll see right when you walk in the new shop. Stunning display of lots of goodies!

Brian Scott

As you can see, there are lots and lots of things to browse around for in here. Hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, wax, wax-combs, leases, flip flops, cuzies, surfboards… and the list goes on. You name it We got it!

Brian Scott

NSR is also proud the announce the new VEND digital working system, to help get you all checked out so you can get down to the beach even quicker!

Brian Scott

I’d especially like to thank my two awesome models today for helping me out. Gracias Stef and Katie… you two rock!

Brian Scott

Parker even did some modeling for me today as well…. WELL, I couldn’t exactly put all that he modeled up, so this one will do. I’m sure if you ask him nicely to see his portfolio from today, he’ll gladly show you. Lets just say he was modeling a sticker! Was it cold in the shop today Parker? I think that new AC unit works very very well!!! (hahaha)

Brian Scott

Katie was balling with her XXL NSR jersey while making 3 pointers from the cash register line to the basura basket with ease. Wanna SCORE too!?!? Come on in and browse the new shop, tell them that you saw the report and fill out one of our comment cards, take a shot to try and match one of Katies 3 pointers and you get a FREE NSR sticker!

Brian Scott

and don’t forget to check out the buy one, get one free NSR camisas while you’re at it!!

Brian Scott

Thinking about getting a lesson, let Oliver “The Animal” Soliz take you out… you won’t be disappointed! My buddy Oliver is one of the longest surfing surfers in Nicaragua, not to mention he’s been surfing Outer Reef a very long time. So he knows a thing or two about surfing here.

Brian Scott

Speaking of my amigo, the Animal. Here he is at the beach today.

Brian Scott

Lucky for me, Oliver & Katie offered to go surf so I could have some people to shoot for the repot today.

Brian Scott

And it’s a good thing too! When we got down to the beach, there wasn’t a single person out. (Here Katie trying her hand on the Boogie, being this is the first time she’s been back in the water since had a bad “head to fin meet and greet” a couple of weeks ago). Good to see ya back in the water Katie!

Brian Scott

Ahhh, shoooots, looks like our amigo DJ wants to come join in the fun too!

Brian Scott

You wouldn’t know it, but the photos actually make the surf and water look pretty inviting. The winds were about as strong onshore as we usually get when it’s offshore, so it’s definitely a weird feeling when you’re used to the wind coming from the opposite direction.

Brian Scott

Oliver, of course, always making it look easy.

Brian Scott

DJ was finding some fun little corners here and there too. Looked like there was a mini-surf-comp in Florida type waves out there today.

Brian Scott

Animal, ALWAYS looking to get shacked! Even with this onshore crumbly half-ass barrel.

Brian Scott

We also had a little sponger gremmy out there catching a bunch of the consistent insider white wash rollers. Check her out, throwing a stoked Shaka to her mom watching from the beach.

Brian Scott

Dude, where’s your leash? Oliver always perpetually stoked when he’s surfing.

Brian Scott

Hey look, it’s Captain Morgan! Ok, well she is the captain of the bar today, but the RUM we serve here is for Kings and Captains here! Stop by and see Morgan this evening for some delicious cocktails! Welcome back chica..!!

Brian Scott

Okie dokie my favorite beach folkie, that’s a wrap for the weekend report. I’ll be back for another day with you all mañana. Hopefully you had a fantastic weekend. Still anxiously watching and waiting to see how the IRMA situation is happing up and down both sides of Florida. Keep them prayers going for everyone! Stay safe and our thoughts are with you.
