Howdy everyone! I gotta admit there were some real waves (every now and again) at Colorados today. It still took some patience out there this Thursday, but the shape of the waves was better.

John locking into a frosty mini-cavern. Luckily I squeaked out for a few head dips after shooting. But John combo’d me today. I was definitely bottom of the scoreboard today :’(

I managed to get the focus wrong on John’s wave of the day. This was a 10 pointer for today though.

The thing was overhead on John by a couple feet. Definitely one of the better set waves I saw all day.

The next few frames look similar, but they are all from progressively further down the line. He weaved through this thing for a while.

If I had to guess, I would estimate that he was in there for about 6 to 7 seconds total.

Usually rights dominate the lineup at Colorados, but this swell had more South than normal which created some uncharacteristically round and hollow lefts.

He made it all the way through the first few sections, but got greedy and subsequently unlucky with the last little section that folded in on him. Still a 10 pointer in my book.

Wow! We needed Kai or one of the local boys out on this one to stack the clip of the day. We had a good run of swell the past couple of days, but looks like it will be smaller the next few days. There is more swell coming down the pipe though, and the wind should easy up some tomorrow and over the weekend so stay tuned.
