Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, March 08, 2024

Josh S

Hey viewers! I realize now in hindsight that I said yesterday was Friday. Well I’m bringing you the REAL Friday report now haha. The two best peaks today were French Fries and main peak. I was in the water a fair portion of the day and can testify that it was REALLY fun.

Josh S

Bertie unwinding and letting it rip into the lip on this main peak right.

Josh S

Bertie with his signature smooth frontside roundhouse carve.

Josh S

Woah, I wasn’t expecting this slightly older guy to slice and dice this right to bits!

Josh S

Ahhh, the silky smooth head high waves that we dream of. It really was an excellent day at Pangas with plenty of waves for everyone scattered across the peaks.

Josh S

My memory is failing me right now, but I believe this is Hernan from Gigante. If this is indeed him surfing here, I must say his style and flow has improved significantly in recent months.

Josh S

His arms, shoulders, and hips are in better sync than they used to be.

Josh S

Ignacio speed floating across the coping on this low-tide left.

Josh S

He followed the first move up with a sharp power carve. That’s a 7.5 score for today Ignacio! Excellent range.

Josh S

Speaking of excellence though… Kai DeLorenzo rotating through a lofty grab-rail air-reverse. My goal is to the get to the point where I can do something like this by the end of surf season. I gotta have Kai give me some pointers haha.

Josh S

This unknown surfer carving through a perfect rounded-out slash.

Josh S

He followed up a second rail-heavy slash to complete the combo. This wraps up today’s surf action. I shot at various windows throughout the day and can say honestly that it was pretty much fun all day. Tomorrow should be bigger and probably better! Thanks for your attention and hasta mañana.
