Nicaragua Surf Report for Thursday, February 15, 2024

Josh S

Hi everyone! Welcome to Thursday’s surf report from main peak Pangas. The wind was nuclear today, but the direction and swell size were still decent this morning.

Josh S

Whitecaps and back-spray were perpetual features of today’s surf conditions.

A nice end-section float from this fella here. I wouldn’t be surprised if he caught some air dropping through this floater due to the vicious offshore wind.

Two young fellas training for the synchronized surfing olympics in Kelly’s pool in Dubai. Or maybe it was the UAE with the new pool? Either way I’m just joking haha.

Josh S

Look like they still need some more training for the synchronized games haha! Maybe the fella in white saw a fish worthy of dinner out the back and is taking a shot at it.

Josh S

Holy smokes this guy got the turn / maneuver of the day on a big long-board! The fact that he displaced so much water with such a sharp arc goes to show how powerful his maneuver was.

Josh S

The sets were coming in erratically this morning. It was very challenging to be in the right spot, but there were actually some pretty sick ones when they did come through.

The inside Costa Mar peak doing its best Pipeline impression.

Meanwhile up at French Fries… This was an excellent wave, but I didn’t see many like this rolling through up there. Most of the waves were focused at the Southern end of the lineup.

Josh S

Sometimes it’s just fun to cruise and glide across the mid-face of Pangas with speed.

Josh S

Hey hey! Check it out. This little dude got a sneaky barrel on the inside section of this right.

Josh S

He was pretty stoked when he pulled out of this one. He’s flashing his buddy in white the “Number 1” claim haha. Surfing with friends is usually more entertaining than surfing solo. That wraps up today’s action, and I’ll see you guys tomorrow. Don’t get your hopes up about the wind though, it’s forecasted to be nuclear again.
