Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, February 09, 2024

Josh S

Hi everyone! Welcome to Friday’s surf report from Panga Drops and French Fries. Today wasn’t as good as yesterday, but there were still some fun rippable waves if you were patient and attentive.

Josh S

Even though the waves were fairly small, that didn’t stop a few shredders from hacking and blasting the waves to bits.

Josh S

Yuji was the MVP of today’s report. I like his smooth relaxed style here.

Josh S

Fly like a butterfly sting like a bee! Yuji de-weighting as much as possible during this critical top turn.

Josh S

Scwhappah! There’s the sting! Yuji did well to get so much of his tail up and above the lip during this end-section blast.

Josh S

Yuji’s been fine-tuning his front-side top turns lately. He’s about to throw a nasty right hook here to rotate through the turn.

Josh S

The waves were still accommodative to long-boards today too!

Josh S

Having a larger frame can make surfing more challenging. But if your mechanics are good and you have some speed built up, then you throw some serious powder / buckets.

Josh S

Yuji was torquing through some stylish carves today as well. It was cool to see him surf further out to the pocket than he usually does.

Josh S

Yuji the "Face" Ripper :)

Josh S

Well it was another glassy and playful day so we can’t complain much about the waves. It was a bit smaller and windier than called for, but fun is better than none! Tomorrow looks fairly similar and I’ll see y’all tomorrow.
