Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, February 07, 2024

Josh S

Hey everyone! Welcome to Wednesday’s surf report from Panga Drops. The waves were super fun this morning. I wish I got a piece of this morning's window, but I was late to the party today.

Josh S

Johnny boy looking Mr. Squidward here. What’s up with this whack form John? Haha

Josh S

Alright, now he’s back to business as usual with this smooth and strong cutback.

Josh S

Bruno ended up being the MVP of today’s report. The peak at Costa Mar was pretty much firing this AM. Perfect A-frames.

Josh S

Float the section.

Josh S

Alrighty, here’s Bruno’s 10 point ride from this morning’s session. The right barrels are always hollower than the lefts because the wind blows into them.

Josh S

He got really deep in this barrel. You can barely see the tip of his board protruding if you zoom in.

Josh S

I almost gave up on because he was behind the curtain for a while. I kept shooting the whole wave though because it was a gem.

Josh S

He’s alive haha! Looks like he’s starting to break free of the end-section of the barrel to complete the exit.

Josh S

Alright! He made the exit. Congrats Bruno.

Josh S

Beep beep! Traffic jam haha! That’s his girlfriend Mariana and it looks like she was in quite a hurry to get out of his way here.

Josh S

If the barrel wasn’t enough to warrant a 10 point score, then he sealed the maximum points possible with a finishing power carve.

Josh S

Like they say though, “The surfer having the most fun is the winner.” John seemed to enjoy his quick power session at French Fries this morning. Tomorrow the waves are forecasted to be a little smaller and windier too. I wasn’t expecting much today, but the waves surprised to the upside. Hasta mañana.
