Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, December 24, 2008

Hi everyone, this is Come Pan Panic bringing you the action for the Wednesday surf report.  Today we had three new students that wanted to learn some surfing skills with the NSR Surf School.  This is the first time that these kids are able to touch a surfboard and they did it really good.  From left to right we have Drew, Morgan and Brian Fogler posting with our very own Oliver.

On the first shot of the day we have Morgan taking a nice wave and enjoying the surf lesson with the NSR instructor.  This is the first time they come down here to Nicaragua and they are very surprised with the amazing country we have.

This is Drew with a killer stand up on this little wave.  The surfing conditions are excellent right now to learn how to surf so if you want to learn with the best surf school in town just send us an email and we will give you the best clues to show you how to do it.

Here we have a shot of Brian, the older brother of the crew.  He was really excited to take this lesson with his brother and sister.  He is taking a couple of good shots that we have of him as a good souvenir from this epic moment.

On the way back to town we decided to make a quick stop by Playa Maderas and see what was going on up there.  The waves were super small and we had a lot of people on the beach trying to get a little bit of sun on the last days of 2008.  Here we have this shot of the lineup to let you know how big the waves were.

On the last shot of the day we have Caleb “El Matador” Mayorga walking on the big panga.  He was killing it all over the place.  The surf conditions are supposed to be about the same for the next few days so check back with us.

We'd like to send out a big NSR Christmas welcome to Carlos Caliente's family - mother Charlotte and sister Molly. It seems that the surf stoke runs deep in this family as despite very little experience both mother and sister were up and riding on their very first waves. Here they are sharing a good one. This is their second visit to Nicaragua, they are loving every minute of it and were overheard giving high praise to Remanso, ceviche, piñatas, Reina, 3am kazoo parades, gallo pinto, Bambu, El Pozo, and Hotel Piedras y Olas. So far Carlos is dominating the scrabble battles. They all wish Agneta, Jim, and Carol an excellent Christmas - hopefully the rest of the clan will make it down soon.
