Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, November 09, 2022

Brian Scott

Welcome to the windy Wednesday surf report. Pretty slow going out there today as those pesky onshore mixed up with some pretty strong side shore winds coming out of the south were making anything out there sur-fable, well, we’ll just say it looked like a lot of work; and with that said, there were only two surfers out there and 2 beginners getting pushed into some fun warm whitewater perfect for newbies kind of waves today.

Brian Scott

Paddling around out there looking for a peak or something with any kind of a shoulder to ride was like looking for a needle in a haystack. This kid saw one of the very few shoulders and he was paddling hard to get into that thing!

Brian Scott

I thought I was about to capture some cool handstand crazy aqua-batics surfing, but the mushy whitewater was just to crumbly and the ocean showed just us very few who were out there (me shooting) and the couple people surfing why the lineup was pretty much empty.

Brian Scott

Now these two dudes, they were having a BLAST! And that’s what surfing is all about right!?!?

Brian Scott

It looks like someone or two new comers to the surfing life have gotten bitten by the surfing bug!

Brian Scott

Since there wasn’t a whole lot to shoot (but I’ve gotta be thankful that at least some peeps were out and I wasn’t looking way off in the horizon in both directions with out seeing a single person) This was right when I rolled up to the beach club and pulled out my camera (without even having time to throw it on my mono-pod) and shot this dude freehand on this really fun looking wave he took all the way into the beach (it was his last wave of the day, unfortunately for me). Check his board, he’s going for the fins first and pull the ol’ “shuvit” spin around technique, used often by well versed Long Boarders the world over!

Brian Scott

Cool, he made the pop up with ease also, you can see he picked off a pretty good looking wave in terms of it looks like there’s plenty of glide time ahead of him.

Brian Scott

Stalling out the backend so he can use all of his momentum to swing that big panga around.

Brian Scott

Doing it with ease, style and grace.

Brian Scott

I don’t think this is his first rodeo with this maneuver though.

Brian Scott

And Baaaaammm rotation completed! Nice going dude!!!

Brian Scott

Ohhh but wait, he wasn’t quite finished, this wave even though it was only like 1 foot, he still had some wave left to be ridden….

Brian Scott

Yeaaaah buddy, cross stepping up to the nose for a little “walk the plank” fun mustering and utilizing every little drop of water this wave had in it!

Brian Scott

That deceiving nice peeling wave that gives you that cursed, “Ok, just one more” mantra, that we all know, if you get even the slightest of a somewhat, something of a good wave and the conditions are like this, you should know better than to paddle back out. Haha

Brian Scott

Well done amigos! Especially this long board aficionado. Giving us the best wave and sequence of the day. Chao 4 now ~
