Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, October 12, 2019

Brian Scott

Hola and welcome to the Saturday surf report. Today was a big ol’ lay day with onshore winds and not a single person out surfing.

Brian Scott

Even though we’re almost halfway into October, if you’ve been following the daily surf reports, you would notice that it’s split about 50/50 with good to bad days so far.

Brian Scott

So like I always tell anyone who asks me, “When is the best time to come in the year?” I tell them it’s hard to say. October by far has the least amount of surfers and, yes, you can encounter some unfavorable winds and weather days, but this can also be the case in June or even July as this is all the months which is considered our “Wet” or “Rainy” season. The only difference with going for the latter months in the season is the crowds thin… A LOT!

Brian Scott

However, there never seems to be a shortage of people who like to just come and enjoy the beaches (rain or shine). Selfie game on lock down by these traveling amigos!

Brian Scott

Hey speaking of selfie game and also half way around the globe…. anyone recognize this chap on the right??? Yup, it’s Mr. Parker Hannahs, who’s over in Australia getting accustomed to his new-soon-to-be familia and while he’s been there, he sent me some really cool shots of some of the cool surf lineups he’s been partaking in with his new mates!

Brian Scott

Thanks Parker, it couldn’t have come at a better time too! Being that our surf report here in Nica was lacking some better looking surf shots today. How’s this sketchy looking paddle out of a break??

Brian Scott

Now you’re talking buddy! I told Parker I’d leave the spots un-named, because that’s pretty much how we try and roll. None, or very little names, and let the imagination do the rest!

Brian Scott

Another (Unknown spot) that looks like it can hold a decent crowd. Beautiful man!

Brian Scott

If you’re a pretty savvy surfer and know your geographical lineups and or skylines, this one’s not too hard to figure out; but I don’t think you can just paddle out here and think you’re gonna be Parko or Mick getting any waves you want. Haha

Brian Scott

Thanks parker for sending us some LOVE from the land down under! Always good as I know our dedicated readers don’t mind seeing what you’re up to since you left Nica. Keep the cool shots coming hermano!

Brian Scott

Alright friends, hoping tomorrow we have some better conditions. Check back in again mañana. See ya then! Chao ~
