Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, September 26, 2018

Brian Scott

Feliz dia de Hump!!! Or as it’s also commonly known as, Happy Hump Day…. aka Wednesday, aka Miércoles. Anyhow, today was a total barrel fest and you’re gonna wanna hit that read more button to see what I’m talking about.

Brian Scott

This is a nice little barrel, but it’s just one to get you warmed up with.

Brian Scott

Uncle Rick getting a little early morning shampoo and not the Proctor and Gamble kind.

Brian Scott

Classic Chris on a classic little PC nugget.

Brian Scott

Hot Carl on a similar wave, about to navigate a frothy lip and very possible snowball.

Brian Scott

There were a few above the lip players out there going against the grain during the barrel fest.

Brian Scott

But under the curtain and tucked in to some sick little salt mines is what it was really all about today.

Brian Scott

A medium sized A-frame goes by unridden, with one guy’s back to this little beauty. What’s going on with the world today??

Brian Scott

You see, science is beautiful when it makes simple explanations of phenomena or connections between different observations. Examples include the double helix in biology and the fundamental equations of physics.

Ok, I’m sure this wasn’t what they were discussing walking down the beach, actually that was a quote by Stephen Hawking. I’m sure they’re just trying to figure out which is better. Surf now or have a nice big breakfast and then surf after, or vice versa? Either way, the guy on the left looks super hungry! For waves, or a big Nica style breakfast!

Brian Scott

Back to the barrel fest.

Brian Scott

I can sense some barrel envy right about here.

Brian Scott

Over here as well.

Brian Scott

Rick might be getting a case if the Jelly’s right here, but I bet the shot is gonna be sick either way!

Brian Scott

Styling on a twinny with a timeless bottom turn like this on a near prefect Colorados day is, of course something we should all strive for in life.

Brian Scott

The race for life is definitely real…. for some!

Brian Scott

Some on the other hand, it might be a little more laid back. But to keep it real, we’re all really just like a bunch of ducks if you think about it. Swimming so smooth and calmly on the surface, while our feet below are going 90 miles per hour under water.

Brian Scott

Not all barrels are made to look perfect But always remember, it’s what’s on the inside that counts.

Brian Scott

One of my 3 amigos who’s staying through NSR and has been down here long enough to say he’s comfortably acclimated to our Latin American climate and water. Nice wave John!

Brian Scott

Markham is one of the other fellas in the group who’s been scoring a lot of fun waves as well. You guys getting pumped up for the bigger swell this weekend hermano?

Brian Scott

Gary, we’ll call him the leader of the gang. Haha j/k they’re all equal thirds to their Nica trifecta surf trip. As you can see they’re all regular footers. How they chose a place that’s predominately all lefts beats the heck out of me…. of wait, that’s right. We have some of the best waves in all of Central America (lefts OR rights). That’s why!

Brian Scott

This guy’s not playing around with any weird wonky mid wave funky lip throwing attitude this wave’s thinking about tossing this guy’s way to make him straighten out.

Brian Scott

Hot Carl on one of the best In’&Out barrel sequences of the day.

Brian Scott

Proof, even with spit.

Brian Scott

and the kick-out riding over the oncoming wave, with style and ease!

Brian Scott

You know who makes this wave look easy, when it’s not, and even does it on a 9 foot long board??? THIS GUY!!! Yah, Buzz!!! Sick one!

Brian Scott

Earlier I threw up a shot of a guy busting a pretty nice little inside air over a close out end section. Well, I forgot to mention his name. This is Timothy, or just Tim for short. He and a couple of buds just got down here yesterday and timed it perfectly for the end of our September session themed epic month.

Brian Scott

Here’s Tim again, showing he’s no one trick pony.  Get ready for maybe double this size come the weekend buddy! Gonna be GOOD!!!!

Brian Scott

Tony, aside from maybe the only person in modern day history to look good by rocking a mullet, also leads wild under water turtle adventure tours just up the beach for a small fee, but for a once in a lifetime experience. Hit him up here @tonyzphotos if you would like to go see some turtles, OR get some rad surf shots!

Brian Scott

My mystery man deep barrel pic of the day goes to this guy OR gal? Hmmm who could it be?? If you need to see the rest of the sequence, you can click here:

Super Sick Barrel Fest of a day RIGHT HERE!!!

Brian Scott

The best and I think only top turn I saw out there today. It’s ok, it happens from time to time.

Brian Scott

Nice style, from this unknown tube hound out there today.

Brian Scott

Look at that water… the color, the texture (or lack of), I’d say smell, but we’re not quite there yet with technology. Either way…. how else would you say your surf session went today?  This guy just might have you beat.

Brian Scott

Oh the lonely walk home. Unless you're noodle armed out and dehydrated like you’re a hot deflated camel in the sahari desert, with a sunburn that feels like 1000 degrees, I don’t think you’re doing your surf sessions right. Thanks for stopping by my friends. Hope you enjoyed todays barrel fest of a day here in Nica-Land. SBS, signing out ~
