Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, September 23, 2005

The bad weather continues...no surfing today, at least not for us. We've still got overhead windswell slop along with the occasional tree passing through the line-up. It's been raining nonstop and it's just plain nasty outside. We did sneak out for a few pics though...

Here is a nice set wave...Ha!

When it rains this much, the jungle washes up on the beaches. Driftwood for everybody!

They did manage to right the fishing vessel that washed up yesterday. The kids were having a blast playing on it. I'm not sure what the next step is for this thing...

There were some people trying to surf it though. This is Roque, in front of the "Cara del Indio" - San Juan Del Sur's version of Mount Rushmore.

There is some speculation that the "Cara del Indio" was modeled after Jairo's profile. Seen here, albiet vaguely. There is definitely a resemblence.

Roberto even managed to find a girl in a bikini. OK, hopefully this is supposed to clear up soon...hasta manana.
