Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, June 23, 2008

Hi folks. This is Roberto “Lucha Libre” Garcia, Jairo “Come Pan” Panic, and Mateo “Pledge” with the Monday surf report.  The waves were about waist to shoulder high, with strong off shore wind, and it was pretty chilly and rainy. We are kind of in between swells right now so the waves were pretty weak. A new swell should start to show tomorrow so we should be getting some real good shots. Check it out!

This is Roldolfo “El Tablon” Villareal with a pretty fast snap. “El Tablon” was surfing really well because he was so stoked about how good he did in the contest.

We had some long boarders out there getting some good waves. This guy here was sick of riding his board the normal way, so on this wave he tried to go as far as he could fins first.

We saw a girl surfer out there getting a bunch of waves. Instead of showing one of those we though her attempt at a boardless back flip would be more interesting. Next time you gotta grab that board and bring it all the way around.

“El Mope” was out there getting a majority of the good waves out there. Here he is getting a good back side snap on a fun left. Hey, “Mope” why didn’t you bring your skills up to the surf contest?

There were some barrels coming in, but there were few and far between. Here Pedro “El Cacaste” was determined to get in there on this one, but I don’t think the wave wanted him. I guess we'll have to wait till later on this week.

The last shot of the day we have “Pledge” on the outside and Jorge “Chispero” on the inside to end the session. It was not a great day out there, but a lot of guys were having fun. Alright, tomorrow the waves should be better with some better lighting so check back!
