Nicaragua Surf Report for Thursday, June 01, 2006

OK, you asked for it, you've got it. Do we get big waves here in Nicaragua? You bet we do, and there were some BOMBS coming in today. Check out the guy dropping in on the shoulder, the 22' boats in the foreground...it was BIG today and the local crew was out charging. JJ with the wave of the day, a double spitter - a gaggle of east coast pros - and Manuel, local hellman, taking deeper on the biggest of set waves. What a day! We're expecting more photos of today in a couple of days so check back with us.

Everywhere was breaking XL. This is a shot out in front of the NSR Beach House.

Annie was out charging again. She was catching more set waves than many of the guys in the water. Way to go Annie.

Hi and welcome to the surf report and spanish class for today. We have solid overhead set waves coming in out here at Maderas, the wind is offshore and the water is warm.

Today we had 4 or 5 guys out there in the water and Gerardo was one of them. Where is everybody?

Check out Machete pt.

This Waylan with the wipeout of the day, he's 13 and he wasn't scared.

Roque taking a nice wave. Good job buddy.

Jairo (Come Pan) getting barreled.

I don't know this guy, but he was charging.

Hey Waylan, yea man you know how to do it.

Is that Gerardo's surf board? Hey man where are you?
