Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, April 30, 2023

Brian Scott

Welcome to the last Sunday Funday for the month of April. As we close out the month today with some beautiful nice sunny conditions, small but really playful glassy with light offshore waves this morning, here’s to a Fantastic May coming our way AND with some activity brewing down in the deep south, Maaaaaaybe “May” will be our month to get the ball rolling. But for now, let’s take a look at todays fun waves and the dozen or so people that got out there early before the high tide peaked.

Here’s a great reference to see just the size of about the biggest sets that were rolling in. They were far and few in-between but the conditions were stellar!

Ooooooofffffahhh! I’m pretty sure this might have been maybe the wave of the day, but Christmas came a little early with some snowballs as early as May. . . . Jaja, it happens. But man, what a great looking wave!

While barrel factory was still sleeping in, what the surf lacked in tubos, everyone else made up for that with some nice rail game and even some air’s (see some other shots I’ll throw up on thee IG account) :)

There were mainly two working peaks today (on front fo the beach club) where you see Lucas taking off here. .

Setting up for hopefully if this thing will cooperate, maybe getting a little shack time.

Brian Scott

Yeah buddy, going for the pull in, but today the waves were little it walled and running pretty fast on the sand bars.

The photos almost always can or will make it look better than it is, but today there were actually some pretty fun waves and I can honestly say, the camera didn’t need to spice it up by making it look like a facade. This unknown dude, STOKED to be getting one of the very few makable barrels out there today!

TR in film/surf mode, while styling it out 100% puling into this frothy inside barrel. Ya T!!!!

Brian Scott

Oscar (who love surfing anything) - be it small waves, barrels, airs, OR big huge hacks like this one here, his diversity of surfing ability is always a good show anytime he paddles out!

Mike D getting the coveted parting surf shot with this super sick cover up (which he drove through this thing and came out), proned the rest of the wave in ginning ear to ear and probably went in for a well deserved breakfast and some of his famous “Bullet Coffee”!! Yeah Mikey!!!

Brian Scott

Perfectly said (or written), “RESCUE”. . . YES, please come on MAY, rescue us from the lackluster beginning of this season and bring us some big fat purple BLOBS!!! P L E A S E ! ! ! ! ~
