Nicaragua Surf Report for Thursday, April 09, 2009

The NSR photographers have been out taking many really good photos in the last 2 days in Tola.  If you guys were around this area be sure to check out NSR Surf shots and find out if you got shot in Nicaragua.  Click on any of the photos from the last days and it will take you straight to our galleries.  This photos will be available to see in the next 2 or 3 days!!!

Hi everybody, this is Roberto Lucha Libre Garcia and Jairo ComePan Panic bringing you all the action for the Thursday surf report.  Today we woke up super early in the morning so excited to score some sick waves.  The waves were couple feet over head and the wind was perfect offshore.  The water was chilly but nobody was worried about it.  Look forward and see what we got for you guys today.

This is the last day we are going to be with our new friends from California.  We had such a good time with them that we don’t want to leave them by themselves.  Anyway, “El Jefe” paddled out and decided to get some barrels but that is hard to do in a day like this on a big panga.  Check him out getting a pretty sweet ride on this left.

Robert, his son was so happy with the water shots that Jairo snap of him in the last two days.  Here he is with a cool close-up shot.

Tylor was doing his thing as well.  He scored many fun lefts all over the place and now he’s ready to get back to his country because he has surfed many killer waves down here.

After a good surf session this is what the crew was doing the four days we were with them.  Chill out and watch the surf action right out front the NSR Beach House.  Check out the wave reflection on the glass and thing how amazing the waves were!!!

It is time to show you guys some incredible shots that we got today.  After you check out this report ask yourself if you don’t want to have a trip down here and surf this wave.  If you answer yes, send us an email and we will set everything up for you and your crew.  We are going to call his one “NICA PIPELINE”, you figure out why!!!

Jairo was trying to get some sick shots today but it was really hard for him because the current was so strong out there.  Here he caught a killer shot of this unknown surfer from Costa Rica looking for some shade into this room.

Our buddy Mateo was surfing this wave by himself for at least one hour, trying to get deeper and deeper.  Here we have a sick barrel shot of him getting way inside of that thing from a cool perspective.

There were a few local rippers out there in the lineup representing the new nica generation.  This is “La Bestia” Calderon drifting this wave with a cool and fast floater.

This is a local foreign surfer from Playa Gigante, he was getting plenty of fun waves all day long.  Here he is working on his backside style with a cool shot from the beach.

The same move, but now from the water.

There were quite a few international surfers out taking advantage on some of the better set waves that came through.  Here we have another unknown rider with a sweet bottom turn on this nice left hander.

This is Mateo “El Generoso” trying to go off the top on this right.  Check the NSR House right on the beach “WHITE HOUSE”.  Don’t’ you wish to stay there and have the surf in front of your eyes the whole time?

We always have some sweet wipe out shots when we have some good waves out there.  This is a Tico guy going over the falls and about to eat some sand on the bottom.  Pura vida mae!!!

There were a few girls trying to get some surf but it was too much for them.  So they decided to hang out for a while and enjoy the show.  Nice to meeting you girls.

Carlitos “Las Pelotas” picked up one the best barrels today.  We have a 13 shots sequence but they are too much to post.  Here is one the better shots of his barrel and just think how sick it was.

We were able to check out this spot today and it was doing its thing.  This place works rarely but today was firing.  Don’t’ you think so?

Jairo captured some really cool photos today, working against the terrible current we had out there.  This is our new friend Scott throwing out his style.

Come Pan had pounded a couple times out there.  After he was done with the water shots he decided to wear Robert’s glasses because he couldn’t see very well. Still dizzy buddy?

Our buddy Olli was able to catch some good waves today.  That was the best thing we had out there in the lineup.  The waves were super consistent, so everybody scored some good ones.

Alright folks, that’s all for today.  We hope you’ve enjoyed the report for today and we assume after this day you are considering to take a trip down here.  More waves coming so be sure to check back with us tomorrow.
