Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, April 02, 2017

Brian Scott

Hola surf amigos and amigas! Welcome back on this beautiful sunny Sunday morning. Went down to our beloved favorite barreling wave to find this in the early AM. A little more swell in the water and the conditions are still epic! Sit back, relax and enjoy a little Sunday brunch accommodated with some picturesque scenery from gorgeous southern Nicaragua.

Now that’s what you want to see when you first walk up and check the waves. A perfect A-frame and two lucky blokes getting barreled.  A good indication it’s gonna be a great day!

This kid was getting a lot of fun waves today.

Got this whole sequence and then some. Swing by the NSR shop later so you have these incredible memories to take home before you leave buddy!

Always remember to douse yourself in lots of sunscreen down here. El sol es muy fuerte aquí! This will also help keep you out surfing a lot longer than expected, which usually tends to happen a lot.

I’m a firm believer that when your friend’s are watching you pull in from the shoulder (maybe even giving a little hoot), it raises the stoke level on that wave easily by 50%.

It brings to mind the old adage… if no-one saw it, did you make it? In this case...You betcha!

Brian Scott

Empty wave, anyone?

Life really is better in _____________ . (feel free to fill in the blank with what comes to mind with this photo). I’m feeling a little psychic today so I think I might know what you’re thinking!

Brian Scott

The long range forecast is looking good, more good and even better.

Brian Scott

It’s so easy to be a fan of surfing here.  (U see what I did there?) haha

Brian Scott

Nacho, mixing up the ol' quiver and going with the horizontal movement on this throaty gem. Hows that view hermano??

Brian Scott

Believe it or not, not everyone wants to surf a barreling wave. So I get asked a lot if there are less barreling waves around for people in the more beginner to intermediate level… and the answer is YES!! There are many fun places for all surf levels here!

Brian Scott

We would even be happy to show you around by land or boat if you make it down and want to hire us for a day with a knowledgeable surf guide and obviously you’re going to go home with some amazing photos as well!

Brian Scott

… and for those who do favor one of the best barreling waves in the world… we’ve got you covered!

Brian Scott

Like Carlitos here. Who can pretty much surf any size, shape or style of wave.

Alright my Sunday funday brunch friends, it was great spending another day with you all and like always I appreciate you taking time to see what I see through my lens each day. It’s time I head back into the jungle from where I came and start thinking about what to plan for this upcoming week. I’m thinking some surfing!! Adiós for now ~
