Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, February 23, 2020

Brian Scott

Welcome to the Sunday Funday surf report chicos! It was in deed a fun day out there. Lots of super consistent waves and the winds came down a little bit for the evening golden hour show. Step on in and take a look!

Brian Scott

This wave alone kinda sums up how good it was out there.

Brian Scott

This wave alone is a good sign that we might be shifting our attention to our sister break very soon!!! Hopefully!?!?

Brian Scott

Evening glass off…. well, not quite, but it was sure super FUN! So many waves… so many!

Brian Scott

There’s a spot on the reef that if you get caught sitting in the very middle, you can test your take off prowess and pumping speed to get around all that white water that seems to create one giant closeout looking section in the middle of the peak.

Brian Scott

BUT, when you do make it around that section… the rest of the wave is all yours for the taking with turns and anything you want to throw at it. Like Jenny here.

Brian Scott

This hombre taking a nice little crack off the top on the very end section of a really really long right.

Brian Scott

Papa Nam, loves himself the lefts. His turns are looking more and more defined with lots of more style each and every time he surfs. Or maybe it’s his nice new hair cut??? jajaja j/k Papa!

Brian Scott

IT’S NOT CALLED THE DROPS for nothing!

Brian Scott

A long boarder pulling into a sick inside section barrel…. You gotta love Nicaragua!!!

Brian Scott

I think this maybe is their 3rd or possibly even 4th surf session for the day. They don’t even look tired! hahahaha - oh to be young again!

Brian Scott

Of course, I remember when I was surfing in my late teens. I don’t recall doing moves this stylish, but I had a lot more energy for sure!

Brian Scott

Nothing better than surfing your brains out for your last full day of your vacation and your amigo is practically dropping in on you, but he’s just there to scream and hoot you on as you try to hand drag stall into a late afternoon green cavern.

Brian Scott

If you zoom in… I mean really really zoom in…. that’s the look of one stoked surfer!!!

Brian Scott

Remember that middle section I was referring to earlier…. well, here’s another look at it again. GOOOOO BUDDY!!! Put the pedal to the metal!!!

Brian Scott

I personally think the rights are better in terms of being a top to bottom surf able wave. Here’s Aden’s maybe 4th or 5th turn which will be followed by many more.

Brian Scott

However, the lighting is way more photogenic in the later afternoon time. But then again so is Cesar!

Brian Scott

How’d you like to visit this little slice of paradise??? It’s not that hard. Just look for some airfare and let us take care of all of the other details for you! :)

Brian Scott

Closing time where the last call is up to you! Although it looks like the Chupadero is still full of patrons. Jajaja - Thanks for checking out the weekend surf report with yours truly! Buenas noches ~
