Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, November 18, 2023

Josh S

Hi everyone. Welcome to Saturday’s surf report at Colorados. The wind was onshore aside from early this morning and late in the evening.

That being said, around dead low-tide at mid-day there were some possible barrels. Shallow sand-bars negating the onshore wind.

We had a pretty fun run of waves the past few mornings, so these guys made the right call to jump out on the boat.

I was at a friend’s house and noticed the wind calm down in the evening. I had about 15 minutes of light to capture a few photos and some surfers were out so I ducked back to the beach with the camera.

Sunsets and surf photos don’t often gel if you are a photographer of my skill level. This guy pulled a sick tail slide.

Josh S

Looks like he lost his wallet on the inside. Sorry mate.

I was surprised to see so many good surfers out this evening. I guess they were all anxiously awaiting the wind switch. Well timed gentlemen.

Josh S

I wish I could’ve snuck out there this evening, but I missed the window. Oh well.

This chica got our Big Kuhana or Wahine award today. Well overhead bomb-set!

Well guys, it wasn’t the most epic day Iguana’s seen, but there were still some fun waves at dawn and dusk. I expect the wind pattern to persist, so morning sessions will be the best bet until we approach the infamous Chompipe contest. Tony Z returns tomorrow, so drop by to see what heat he brings.
