Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, October 29, 2023

Josh S

Hey everyone! Welcome to Sunday’s surf report from Playa Colorado. We lucked out with yet another day of flickering offshore wind.

Josh S

There were a couple of makable barrels if you were at the right place at the right time.

Josh S

Challenge: How much whitewater slush can you chuck?

Josh S

A textbook bottom turn on display from our shredder with the unique hairstyle.

Josh S

His textbook bottom turn set the stage for him to rip the back out of this one. A critical blow.

Josh S

I’m not sure what’s cooler, this guy’s style or his board-shorts? I’m not aesthetically inclined (when it comes to clothing and apparel), but those are some nice baggies right there.

Josh S

The boogey’s were bouncing and flipping about out there.

Josh S

Mr. Hairstyle was engaged in a backside onslaught today. Woe unto the wave that approached him.

Josh S

I guess he’d scheduled an afternoon tee-time :)

Josh S

Quick question: What’s more inverted? This bodyboarder or the US Treasury Yield Curve ;)

Josh S

I think this barrel section was exclusively for the boogey, he’s the only one who could’ve tucked in there.

Josh S

Set it and forget it (on rail).

Josh S

This guy’s critical end-section speed-float caught the attention of various spectators and surfers. Probably the move of the day.

Josh S

The bodyboarders were competing with each other to see who’d be the dizziest at the close of the session haha!

Jett Abate, one of the resident grom shredders from Iguana, is competing in a video submission event, Barton Lynch's Blast Off.

Also, there is a whale conservation event to be hosted by TreeCasa Hotel in San Juan del Sur on December 3rd. If you'd like to attend or get more info you can scan the QR code in the image.

Here's a quick YouTube clip detailing what to expect at the ELI-S whale conservation event.

Benny, the Abate family’s dog, arguably had the most fun today. He was engaged in his daily exercise of chasing minnows and small fish in the shore break. Tomorrow’s forecast is looking so-so, but it’s been wrong twice consecutively so who knows? Regardless of conditions, I’ll bring you the best action I can capture. Cheers guys and have a good one.
