Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, October 01, 2008

Hi folks, we have another rainy day down here Nicaragua and we think it could get worst in the next few days because we are starting OCTOBER.  So, the rivers have so much water right now that they are keeping us away from our favorite spots around town.  Today we barely made it to one of the easiest places to surf and “El Burro” did it pretty well one more time.  It was running about chest to head high on sets with ONSHORE winds.  Check out what we got today!!!

Today D-lite got in the water for the first time in almost one month.  He was a little rusty but it shouldn’t be long before he’s back in form.  He’s hoping to get some good waves and not sit inside the whole month because of rain.

It seems that we have a lot of surfers visiting us from other countries right now and it is unfortunate that the wind and conditions are not cooperating.  This guy is making the best of what we have to offer.

Enka has improved her surfing skills quite a bit since she has been in Nicaragua.  She broke her favorite surf board the other day so now she is forced to ride her backup.  Here she is with one of the nicer set waves of the day.

Edwin “El Tuzo” Morales was able to paddle out today and was taking a couple of the bigger waves that were coming through.  He’s always in the right spot to catch plenty of good ones and he always has fun out there.

We rarely get pictures of this local kid but today was his lucky day.  His name is Carlos “La Guavinita Blanca” and we are glad to have a picture of him that we could post.

When the waves are not that great we like to experiment with our photo shop programs to see if we can come up with something interesting.  We played around with a bunch of them and we chose this one.  Check back tomorrow.
