Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, June 27, 2017

Brian Scott

Welcome back for the Tuesday surf report! We still have super fun waves out front and the sand bars are doing their thing.. which means peaks, peaks and more peaks! Check it out!!

Brian Scott

I started out at the playa today early and the tide was going out, so the waves were a bit smaller. Needless to say, it was still super rippable.

 Phillip says heck yes!

Brian Scott

The swell was a bit smaller but we had these really nice pulses through out the day here and there.

Austin Smith Ford is here visiting for a little stint. He didn’t bring a drone (since they’re illegal here in Nicaragua) so he decided to check out the coast by air the old school way.

Brian Scott

If this is what we get to see from ASF now, while it’s small, I can’t wait to see what he’ll show us when we get that nice swell in the next few days.

Brian Scott

Good friend and style master barrel rider Joel Smith already buckled his favorite board and we’re expecting some really juicy swell in the next few days, so he’s getting his salt mine grind on using his trusty new backup. Looks like it’s working well for you buddy! Get ready for that swell… Gonna be GOOOOD!!!

Brian Scott

The weather was phenomenal today. Always making this place that much more, one of the best surf destinations ever. Big or small.

Brian Scott

This is the #1 reason really though. Perfection!

Brian Scott

Whoever told poor Maycal today that waxing the bottom of his board was a good idea.. looks like the jokes on you. He was ripping all afternoon! On a serious note though, mega bonus points to the awesome person for giving him a board to ride. This kid loves to surf, but never has a good board to even ride the waves. So whoever you are, you made his week! Muchas Gracias!

Brian Scott

Speaking of locals and being stoked, check out his super sick air by Chacoyo!! Amigo, this is one of the sickest ones I think I’ve seen you do!

Brian Scott

When tide got a little fuller later in the day, the waves had more volume with more room to play around with some bigger turns.

Brian Scott

But of course the afternoon always seems to be the best time to surf here in Nica-Land. Here we have a Eight Pack McNica special going on!

Brian Scott

I had to save my last parting action shot of the day for Brooke here (ripping) who sadly has to leave mañana but enjoyed her first time here and quite possibly found her new favorite surf destination. Hope to see ya back soon amiga!!

Brian Scott

Well that’s it for today my friends. Check back tomorrow for Hump Day and get ready for that swell that’s soon to be showing up here. If everything comes together as planned we will have some even better epic photos and content for you… keep fingers crossed!!! Dale Pues~
