Nicaragua Surf Report for Thursday, June 22, 2006

Before we get to today's report, I'd like to solicit some support for the local surfers here in Nicaragua. If you check our home page you'll see that there is an upcoming contest in Costa Rica set for the middle of next month. This contest is a big deal for Central American surfers - all of best will be there. For the first time, we will be sending a contingency from Nicaragua. These will be guys that you see on NSR all the time - Roque, Luis, Rex, Agusto, Gerardo, Coki, Mario, etc We want to send as many locals as we can so they can experience the top level of competition. The only thing stopping us from sending everybody is $. THIS IS WHERE WE NEED YOUR HELP. The 5 day trip including all transportation, food, lodging and contest entry fee will cost $285 per person. Many local businesses and people have already donated to the cause, but we still need more help. So I ask - if anybody is interested in helping, for any amount, please send us an email at: [email protected]. Thank you. Now to today's report...

More pumping surf again today! But hey, we're not complaining, and either are our guests at the NSR Beach House, many of who are claiming best surf trip ever. Who can blame them with surf like this? Overhead sets, offshore winds, view from the front yard, again.

This is Matt, trip organizer, enjoying the fruits of his efforts.

Jon was catching everything in site and ripping it to shreds (on a borrowed board I might add)

This is my main Brah, Christian, going off the top Brah.

Every now and then Roberto takes a few shots of me too. This sequence came out nice. Shot 1.

Shot 2.

To shorten things up, I'm not posting Shots 3, 4 and 5. I'll just cut straight to Shot 6. Fun stuff.

We've got a new local in town this month - It's Brad from Jax Beach. Brad, you're ripping man. This is what a couple of weeks in Nica will do to your surfing.

Matt, again. Yes, today was super fun. More waves on the way, so check back tomorrow.
