Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, June 10, 2017

Brian Scott

Hey there party people! We seem to have made it through the week unscathed, despite all the setbacks with our unruly weather conditions. I must say though, I think today was quite possibly the worst.  It started off pretty good but deteriorated quickly with that storm front that has been knocking on our door all week; which ended with me riding home on my bicycle in the rain. Glad I have a really good rain cover for my camera gear. Throw on your slicker and check out what it’s like to make due with what you got when there’s a storm on the horizon but there’s still some ridable waves with only a few people out! Enjoy~

Not the most picture perfect stuff to come from our beloved beaches here. But if you like solidarity in the gloom, today might have been your day out there!

Brian Scott

Definitely still some swell in the water. It’s just being pushed a little more forward, as opposed to being held back with the help if our natural (more consistent) offshore winds.

Brian Scott

But that didn’t stop a small select few from tackling these challenging conditions.

Brian Scott

If you’re optimistic, it was really more like a fun little skate park out there today.

Brian Scott

One local kid… which is really rare here now-a-days. I think everyone just called it a day and made plans for Mag Rock tonight.

Brian Scott

Funny how no matter the conditions, EVER, we will always still try and find that infamous barrel; wherever she might show herself.

Brian Scott

Windy Turner. Tina’s long lost step sister who went missing in Nicaragua served up these winds, I’m sure of it.

Brian Scott

Ohh how the proverbial rain can really help us. This is the answer. If its gonna rain, then let it come!!!

Brian Scott

… and this is where it shall manifest itself!

Brian Scott

A very quiet, yet peaceful vibe at our local beach club… and it’s peak season. Global warming said what? Just kidding… it’s a La Niña year guys! `Come on!

Brian Scott

Carlos, don’t fret. Everyone will be back tomorrow… it’s supposed to clear up! (I hope!!)

Brian Scott

Not a bad turn there considering your playing field out there hombre!

Brian Scott

His buddy either pulled a Lance Burkhart on him or its our legendary Lockness Nica Monster back at it again.

Brian Scott

I was just kidding about the Nicaraguan Lockness monster buddy! But rest assured, Lance is alive and well. Watch your leash… always!

Brian Scott

TMZ is so stoked to have a surprise surf star guest appearance here (especially in these crazy conditions) Welcome down Clay Marzo!

Brian Scott

The “pulled back” view of our day here today! Just remember that rain or shine, we’ve always got you covered here in Nica!

Brian Scott

So I think it’s safe to call it a day and lets pray for better surf and weather conditions for mañana! Thanks again for always stopping by to see what we get for you on a daily basis. Have fun out there tonight (wherever you’re planing on going) and be SAFE! We’ll see you out there on the playa as always tomorrow! Chao ~
