Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, May 26, 2008

We've got our 3rd Surf Contest of the year coming up this weekend at Playa Santana.  This is always a great venue for waves and a fun place to see a contest so come out and support the local surfers if you can.  It's still anybody's race this year and every contest is important.  It will be especially important for surfers like Mario and Darwin since this is their home beach.  Also, check out NSR's home page for more info (click on the contest banner in our slideshow).

Hi folks, this is Jairo "Come Pan" Panic with the report for today. Today the crew from Deerfield Beach hired me to take some surf shots again. It's overcast down here, the wind was light onshore, the waves were small, and the water is warm. Check it out

As I said before the waves were small, so the boys from Deerfield Beach invented a new sport down here: Beach skurfing. So they decided to practice it in the bay. Here we have Danny doing his thing.

Here is Josh "La Mariposa" showing off his skills on the surfboard. This guy was really enjoying this sport today.

This is Josh "El Rasta" working real hard not to whipe out in the shallows.

Since there were a couple of fun, small waves in the bay, the crew from Deerfield Beach decided to ride a few. Here is Bryan taking off on a small but nice right.

These guys had a great time in the bay ,practicing their new sport and taking some fun waves. Here is another shot of "La Mariposa" this time riding a good looking left.

Here is Danny with a sweet shot. This guy was enjoying himself  goofing off with his friends today in the bay.

Here is John "El Rasta" taking off on a good wave as well.  These guys were feeling right at home because the waves today were just like the surf in Florida.

This is the last shot day featuring the Deerfield Beach crew. Thank guys for hooking up with NSR while you were down here. Please check back tomorrow.
