Nicaragua Surf Report for Thursday, March 21, 2024

Josh S

Howdy everyone! Wow, what a day of waves. We lucked out this Thursday at Colorados.

Josh S

There were definitely some gems to be had out there. I wouldn’t say it was firing, but today was probably the most consistent day of waves we have had at Colorados so far this year.

Josh S

It’s strange that nobody seemed to want any of the waves around mid-day when I was shooting! There were about 12 surfers out, but very few people caught waves lol.

Josh S

Now I know Mike Doan well, and he doesn’t let many waves sneak underneath him. He ripped the top off this right. Unfortunately he wrapped up his surf session shortly after I rocked up to shoot.

Josh S

This insider would’ve been perfect for a grom. Almost like a wave pool!

Josh S

Alright some action! Not a bad drop. I think he should lower his back knee some and open his front foot and hips though.

Josh S

It wasn’t all rights out there today.

Josh S

Nobody was ever in position haha. Classic. This morning’s window was a different story though as the A-team was out chasing down tubes.

Josh S

Kaboooom….

Josh S

Alrighty! Good timing and choice of maneuver from the white rashie fellow. Counter-rotation though.

Josh S

Koji demonstrating high quality sequence of rotation and body mechanics for the spectators and other surfers.

Josh S

Koji, what happened? What happened??? Haha. I had my fair share of falls today too, so I know the feeling.

Josh S

Possibly the best day of waves so far this year. Or maybe yesterday was. Either way we lucked out with a little front-runner swell at our favorite beach break. The swell looks like it could disappear for a few days though (starting tomorrow). I’ll still bring you the finest content that I can. Peace!
